Laws

Every civilization have laws and without them the civilization would be uncontrollable. Thats why we have laws, but different countries have different laws and are more strict about them. We have laws so that people don't do the wrong things such as murder, steeling drunk trafficking, drugs, etc. Hammurabi's Code has many of the strictest laws I've ever seen, yet for some of them I agree.
You know when people steal, we almost always just send them of to jail. But in Hammurabi's Code, they execute you. The laws maybe very strict, but that was in the past. The thing about almost of the laws is that they all  have an execution in them.

Gun,Germs and Steel

On Monday we watched a video based on the book Guns, Germs and Steel. It was about people who lived life sort of like ape men, and as time swept by the people changed their lifestyle from hunting to farming. But before they went to farming, they ate barley from wheat and other things for protein, but there wasn't enough protein in those resources so they ate giant spiders that were three inches large. They woke up early in the morning to farm everyday. Just like my uncle Mun, he got up early every morning to take care of his orchard. He had to work in the the hot sun with a few other people. But for the people in Papuanew Guinea they worked with almost everybody in the civilization.

Life Evolving Around Technology

People's lives have been evolving around technology as it has been improving from the radio to the Black and white screened TV to the colored screened TVs. In the past we would use sticks and fire to microwave food. But now with just one touch of a button, we can microwave our food with barely any effort. Since technology is ever improving, we'll have airplanes thats as fast as lightning and can make a full circle around the earth without ever having to stop 80-200 years from now.

Similarities and Differences Between KL Now and the Early Modern Human Past

There are many similarities and differences between now in KL and the past. But lets start of with the similarities.
Long ago, ape men were taught by their parents and others survival skills. They were also taught how to make tools and weapons to help them hunt for food. There are people today who still hunt and fish for food. This is mostly done not for survival purpose. In the past and now, weapons are still used to protect ourselves from enemies.
In the past, the early humans used their feet to travel. But now, we use trains, cars, light rail, buses, bikes and trucks. Evan though the early humans communicated with each other, the only thing that they didn't have was language. But now we have developed different kinds of languages to communicate such as swedish, russian, korean and many more. Our art work is different because the early humans used blood from animals to draw odd pictures in caves. But now we have all kinds of art work using different kinds of medium like oil paint, water color, acrylic, etc.

Kuala Lumpur's Civilization

KL (Kuala Lumpur) is a modern city with a population of 1.6 million people in Malaysia. The word kuala lumpur means muddy estuary. KL is the federal territory of Malaysia. The current government ruling is Barisan Nasional.
KL is the heart of entertainment and cultural activities. It has the National Museum, Islamic Art Museum, mosques and the Petronas Philharmonic Hall.
The mode of transport is bus, rail and taxi. The rapid transit system consists of three different train systems. They are the Rapid KL Rail, KL monorail and KTM Komuter. But many people prefer to drive their own cars. So traffic can be very bad in KL.
The food in Malaysia come from all over the world. It has italian food, french food, Chinese food, etc. Malay food is hot and spicy, mainly curries.

SPCA in Kuala Lumpur

The slide show on animal cruelty was horrifying. Seeing the dogs beaten up and stoned to death by animal abusers really shocked me. How can people be so cruel, especially children. One of the slides showed a dog stoned to death by children. One of its legs was even hacked off! There was even a labrador with its tail chopped off and crying in pain. These animal abusers should be jailed and punished severely. But it was comforting to know that there are still kind people in this world. Besides SPCA helping these poor animals, there was also a woman who helped feed the dogs everyday.

New Family Member

2007, September 13,
My new baby sister was born and her name was Yi Jin Jade Lee. But we call her jade; But thats not all, she's a premature baby which means to born before the the time of birth. But it doesn't really mater if she's born premature or not because I'll love my baby sister any way.

Its been a year and the only thing that she can say is mama. Yes it might be normal to be able to say one word but there's a problem, she can't evan crawl or walk. But soon she'll be able to do all that and if she ever starts to hate me or get annoying, I'll love my sister any way
